If you're looking to take the steps to get your veterinary career to the next level and advance your knowledge of animal health care, and already have a Veterinary Technician Associate Degree under your belt, ECA academy's accredited online Veterinary Technology Bachelor Degree Program can help. With flexible online courses, you can build your job-ready knowledge and skills at your own pace as you learn from accomplished faculty. You will also gain a deeper understanding of how to apply the fundamentals of your veterinary background with a well-rounded skill set.

What You Will Learn

  1. How to understand the human-animal bond through many lenses.

  2. How to apply the knowledge learned through the Veterinary Technology Capstone Course in either the Veterinary Practice Management or Veterinary Technician Specialist tracks.

  3. How to apply the fundamentals of veterinary pharmacology, nursing of domestic animal species, animal anesthesia, surgical nursing, laboratory procedures, research in vet technology, preventative health care, veterinary emergency and critical care, and other veterinary basics. 

  4. How to build a well-rounded skill set in areas such as computer and information literacy, written and interpersonal skills, humanities, liberal arts, math, and sciences.

  • Fast track = 6 months

  • Average time = 9 months

With Penn Foster, you can learn at whatever pace works best for you. Some learners will be more comfortable moving faster, and dedicating more time, and the fast track estimate will apply to them. The average track will apply to most learners who can dedicate a few hours per week to completing their coursework.

The Veterinary Technology Bachelor Degree Program helps to prepare you for additional career pathway opportunities above and beyond the entry-level opportunities that can be afforded by an Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology.
